I was driving the other day and heard a pop as I stopped. From that point on, three things have happened ; 1.) when the brake pedal is pressed, it goes almost all the way to the floor; 2.) when I press on the emergency brake pedal, it goes almost all the way to the floor; 3.) also, there is a noise, more of a rubbing, possibly lite grinding sound coming from the left rear end of the vehicle.

About three months ago, I had a rear brake job done from a reputable business. I have seen no signs of fluid on the ground or under carriage of the vehicle. Today, I jacked up the left rear of the vehicle, removed the tire and lowered it on a jack stand. I checked the emergency brake cable and it does seem to be loose. I removed the brake drum and found the cable was still attached.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

i would say it is possible that the cable is broken inside the plastic outer shell,
you will have to have somebody push the pedal down while you look at the cables they run under the floor ,you have to look under the vehicle on the drivers side, , check all the cables , see where it is broken,
as for the why the pedal goes all the way down, i would say it's possible a flex line on the front is bad, , or the master cylinder let go,
