Hi..... Im new to this site .But not new to repair or explorer /rangers....
love all FORD products.
I bought a 94 explorer limited about 2-3 yrs ago. Its from Flordia. I live in ohio. The ex is in mint condition side & out. The guy I bought it from towed a huge trailer Loaded from flordia . dropped a piston ( # 3 drivers side) over heated engine. really messed it up . took heads off to change head gaskets .Found head drivers side cracked. cylinders scared.decided to change engine. Found a 93 4.0 with 78 k miles. nice engine . My problem is my check engine lite is on.I have tryed reading codes . guess I will have to sweet talk the wife to help pull them. My question is I have a 94 ex limited. will a engine wireing harness off a 1st gen explorer fit a limited ? I talking from front passanger side where it plugges together . to all the sensors , ac,. these wires may have shorts. the guy I rescued my ex from was no mechanic. I have my
jump wire ready. will pull codes tomorrow. I will let you know what I find. This is a great site. thanks guys
