I can't get a straight answer from any dealers in my area. Ford employee pricing is supposed to be 4% less than X Plan pricing, but I am getting quotes that are actually higher than X Plan.

Anybody understand what Ford is currently offering in this new program. From what I have learned so far, seems extremely disingenious and they are NOT offering true employeee pricing.

That's my understanding too, employee is 4% less than x-plan. As a Ford supplier I was offered x-plan a few years ago, and one thing that happens
also with employee pricing is that this is a Ford program, not dealer, so anything the dealer adds such as better wheels/tires, upgraded stereo, undercoating is added onto the employee or x-plan price.

One thing about employee pricing is that it's supposed to be a no-haggle bottom-line price. Without that promotion, a savvy buyer might have been able to buy for less than the employee price. This is really a program to make Ford some money more than to save buyers money.

Exactly- Dealers are starting to raise prices somehow even on non-optioned-up vehicles (even though they're not supposed to be able to modify a,x, or z plan pricing) because theyr'e not getting $$ from Ford to actually pay the difference. GM dealers I know are being told that they'll be waiting at least 2-3 months (if ever) for rebate reimbursement.

i thought the employee pricing was the same as the A/D/Z plan, which is 7% under invoice or something like that. And the X plan was 3% under invoice. It should all be no haggle pricing, other than what they offer on the trade in obviously. Plus you should get any rebates or incentives on top of the plan pricing.

It should be, but it isn't. I've gotten 3 different X-plan prices from 3 different dealers after they manage to include dealer "extras" to make back some money that Ford will probably never pay them...

Hmmm. I've only purchased on the A/Z and I know all the dealer markups haven't been on those. They do charge the typical finance/paperwork fees but they all say there is no way around those...

for reference, I walked into a dealership that was going out of business, they showed me Fords price for a 08 limited, normal asking price was 37 and change, Fords price after incentives was 30k, dealer offered it to me for 29, I could have gotten him down more due to the circumstances.... its a very nice discount they have going right now
