As many of you know, I'm on vacation out in California and on the road until August when I start Med School. Well, I still hadn't gotten my oil changed after Moab (3000 miles), and RangerX's oil container was full. So I decided to try the local Ford dealer out here. Firstly they were very courteous and got me out of there in little over an hour. Secondly, they deal with a lot of modded cars and trucks so mine wasn't a big deal at all (though the mechanics still crowded around and drooled for a few minutes).
Anyway, I guess my oil was sludge from the trip cause the truck pepped up after the change. I can really feel the difference off a light. I also accidentally left 2 7 foot black streaks on their driveway. OOPS!!! Strange thing though, every oil change place I've ever been to, including dealers, has put a new sticker on recommending 3k miles or 3 months. They put on a sticker recommending 5k miles or 3 months. Is this cause they don't see Splat as 'heavy duty usage', or cause people drive a lot more out here on the highway?
Ok, enough rambling. But to all members who live out here, they're a very good dealer.
