Engine Block Heater

I am supposed to be out of town next week and here in minnesota its supposed to be the coldest days of the year. We are talking highs about 2 deg above 0. So would it be bad to leave my truck pluged in for say 3 days. it will be staying outside.

I would leave it unplugged. I have read of too many people losing either their truck to the block heater shorting out and burning up their truck and sometime their home. If you really want to have it plugged in then use some sort of timer to have it on only a hour or so at a time. But whith those temps you should be OK as long as you coolant is mixed properly.
