I have a 93 explorer with 4.0 engine. It has started cutting off when operation at temps above 75 degrees outside. Still getting fuel, no codes sent, after it cools off it will restart and run for a while then shut off again. it took me 7 hours to make a 3 hour trip to florida. once it got dark outside and air temps dropped below 70 itran fine all the way home for 3.5 hours of driving at 70 mph. cannot figure this one out please help.

Test for engine codes.

Sounds like a vapor lock kind of issue, so that would point to your fuel system...I'd scrutinize your fuel lines, FPR, filter, all of it.

Swap out the engine coolant temp sensor for the pcm. I have seen this a few times.
