Hi - I'm on my way back from SoCal driving my 1996 Explorer. Everything running fine but 4 hours into the drive the engine stalls going about 70 mph. I pull over and everything is running (just the engine dead). I re-start and let it run a bit, and it stalls at idle. Got plenty of gas, but it won't go more than a mile or so and then it stalls out. The prior owner told me he had the fuel pump replace, but didn't have a receipt. If I replace, should I also replace sending unit?
FYI - it has 230K miles, but has been well maintained. Since I recently bought it, it went through smog inspection and had oxegen sensors replaced all the way round. Nothing else showed up on test.
