Found a chunk of something (think its a piece of the piston) in the oil pan. Looks like its in need of rebuild.

Definitely time to get the engine out and apart before something breaks and destroys some expensive pieces to replace.

That's an ugly report that's trending worse. Ugh.

Drop the pan and see what the metal piece is, might give you a hint as to what the issue is.

Rumple

i'm guessing its a chunk of a piston or piston skirt, and that's where the aluminum and silicon is coming from (hyperuretec pistons?) and with that damage on the piston, its now scraping into the cylinder wall, hence the iron levels. it runs perfect for now, but I bet i'm going to be losing compression soon.

Oh well, a bore out 0.030 over and a new cam, port/polish the heads and a set of headers could get this thing running real strong. looks like i will be doing this in the spring.

So they're saying that changing your oil more frequently is good? I've read that MORE engine wears occurs with engines that experienced oil changes TOO often.

Whereinthehell did you read that? I've never heard of clean oil being bad for a motor........
