Here is the easiest way for me to reproduce the issue.

When driving 100km/hr (60 mph) with engine at normal operating temperature, all I need to do is turn my overdrive off. The revs climb to 3000rpm, and the temperature guage starts dropping to cold.

Isn't this backwards?

What could it be? Is it possible increased coolant preasure is pushing the thermostat open? I just replaced the thermostat this summer.

Makes no sense to me. Thoughts??

Possible cooling fan clutch issue.

I'll go outside and give it a spin. :)

The fault just seems backwards from everyones cooling issues here.
