engine install question

Has anyone ever installed their engine and tranny together? What I mean is bolted together and then installed. It may seem to be a strange question, but there's a long story behind it and I don't want to bore you. I've seen it done on much older cars, but I don't know if its possible on an X.

should be possible, as long as you have removed all the proper crossmembers....

alright, hey I currently have my grill, radiator and both coolers out right now. would I need to remove any thing else from the front ? I don't know the name of it, is it the clip? the "frame" peice that the hood mates with. Do you think that has to come out?

it is possbile on a 93 Explorer yes. Itis a tight fit but it will go. Be careful and go SLOW.

You may dent up the radiator support and the firewall a little bit.
