First off thanks to all the great people who contribute to this wonderful site. thanks to you all.

I noticed my 99 Explorer XLT was having a rough start in the morning after a ten minute drive it would smooth out no engine light indicated, the next day the same except the engine light came on and quickly disappeared. I took the car to Auto zone but there was no code showing. The next day the same thing happened except it was in the evening the engine light stayed on the whole time, took the vehicle to Auto Zone the code read as P301= Number one cylinder misfired, i bought a new set of wires and plugs but manged to change the number one cylinder as it was late. This morning the same thing happened rough start engine came on and flashed 2X then 6x and finally 7x then went out, which i though was the vehicle indicating the code but there is no 267 code. I'm not sure what to do next any suggestions.

Steve

engine lite

I replaced them last year bought the kit plus the IAC,cleaned the MAP, throttle body replaced the O2 sensors a few years back. you think I'll have to do it again

I'll let some of the Board's engine experts try and analyze that. You gave new info after you first posted your Q. Try and give as much info as possible right off the bat, it helps those of us trying to assist. (But yes I am still guessing some O ring problem, somehow)
