engine loses power after a couple of blocks

my 1993 explorer has plenty of power when i first start it up, then i'll drive a couple of blocks then the engine hesitates and loses power. i have to floor it to make it up hills. plz help!

...My first thought , since you have not said you have a CEL on, is it may be your cats are clogged...

i also replaced fuel filter and sparkplugs.

...Seing how you just replaced the cat, I would suggest a fuel test as in Fuel Pressure Regulator....Do a search on here for "FPR" and "Fuel Pump"...
