ok, well you know when a old standard car is reversing, and you hear that loud whirring noise, yea well my motor is making that noise now... it only does it when it starts, and lasts like a minute or two, then goes away. no noise when engine is warm either. it seems to only do it when its colder. (its like -12 right now) these are the things ive done recently.

Tranny flush with Lucas oil tranny fix
changed oil with Lucas oil oil stabilizer
removed some power steering fluid and put in a Lucas oil power steering fix.

all oil levels are fine, no other noises... the power steering was failing before, and its a lot better now that i put the Lucas oil power steering fix in it.

any ideas? im going to star it tommorow and try and figure out were the noise seems to be coming from..

I also put lucas in my power steering and got the same noise.
I had a rattle at start up put the lucas in the rattle was gone but on cold mornings it would make a whirling noise. I drain the power steering put mobile 1 atf in the rattle is back but less noticable and the whirling is gone. I think the lucas is to thick for the pump on cold days.
Hope that helps.

oh OK, thank god, i was pretty sure it was something to do with that....

thx alot :D
