quick thought im hoping you rca's arent run on the same side of the truck as your power and remote.

If not check you ground (most likely) and i beleive they sell a silencer for your ground. But just screw around with it first good luck!

You know, we installed a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 in my son's Lincoln LS. It's a Sport model, and a factory subwoofer wasn't an option on those. But we finally found one and installed it in the factory location and hooked it up. Believe it or not, all the factory wiring was there for it. We just needed to plug our wiring from the subwoofer into it, and wire up the Z2 with a Metra adapter to the factory subwoofer plug. Piece of cake. Except we could not get rid of the engine noise. And it was intermittent. We tried everything...including the famous Pioneer RCA ground trick. And this car has the battery in the trunk from the factory, along with a fuse box there that supplies power to the amp...so no power lines alongside signal lines. We finally ran complete new set of power lines and signal lines. That fixed it. Something in the factory harness just didn't like the Pioneer for some reason. So now we have the factory sub working perfectly. Moral of the story is it doesn't seem to take much to cause some very weird problems with audio systems.

the power and rca are seperated, though i think the rca might be next to the remote. Ill try moving it. I already have a noise filter on the rca line but i guess it dont work very well;)

Try grounding to factory grounds.

I had engine noise in my speakers after I installed a pioneer receiver. The problem was The cd player had its ground, and the factory amp had its own ground, created a ground loop, I just disconnected it from the factory amp and I was fine.

my amp has a groud loop filter on it, but my problem was that i had a bad amp ground. i put it in a new place and now works fine. Thanks for your help.
