I had a no heat problem some time back, checked behind the glove box, everything works as it should. My temp gauge was always in the normal range so thought perhaps it was a plugged heater coil. Well before messing with that I decided to change the t-stat and for about 2 weeks everything was fine, I had heat and the gauge showed normal temp.
Now I still have heat in the cab but my gauge rarely gets up to temp or normal. Defective t-stat? I did try burping the radiator and did get a couple burps of air but the truck simply will not come up to temp. I put in a Duralast stat from Autozone, 192 degrees.
