Anyone else have this problem? I push the button and it turns on but never gets hot. What do you think it could be? The passenger side seat works as it should.
Thanks

anyone? i know its an option but I got used to it and its cold in Colorado!

I have the exact same problem. I think that my heating element is burnt out, but I don't know how to go about fixing this problem.

well, you need to get to the connection at the seat and check for voltage with a meter... that should tell if your heater is fubarred or something like a switch or wiring is gone south.

Seat heater? Where are the controls? How can I tell if I have it? Thanks.

You would know if you had it. Its a square switch on the left panel of the drivers seat. Where the other power seat switches are.

now you have the rest of the story... if you aren't getting voltage at the heating element, most likely problem is a broken wire in the door post of the driver side (ie. coming from said switch).

I had a similar problem last year but both seats were out. Turns out a wire was shorted in the passengers side floor channel.

My quick test for the seat element is to disconnect the yellow connector under the seat in the back (from the back seat). There is a connector with 4 wires. The blue with white stripe wire and the ground (black) are the power for the seat element. Disconnect it and run 12 volts to it, either from a spare battery or clips from the battery terminals. This bypasses everything up to the internal element. If the seat heats, then the problem is outside of the seat.. Hope this helps

Good tip DF EB2000. Now I need to find the time.

FYI, that blue/white wire(light blue BTW), it is fed through the dash harness, from the power distribution box, a fuse of 20 amps I believe. It may only be powered with the ignition, check it both ways.

When I rewired my 99 Limited I used that circuit for my auxiliary circuits. I used my 93 Limited seats, and have the 99's as extra seats available. Good luck,
