Engine not running right

I need help!! My '98 XLT SOHC is not running right. I have valve chatter and the engine seems to "flutter" at times. When I accelerate, sluggish is an understatement. I have changed the plugs, wires, seafoamed, and put in a K&S filter. I have no codes showing. Any ideas where to look next?

Are you sure that vlave chatter isnt an exhuast leak at the manifold?

Don't know. How would I check? Would that also affect my performance issues?

Have you:

(1) cleaned the MAF?
(2) checked the function of the O2 sensors with an OBD II scanner?
