Truck not running right help

My 99 ford explorer eddie bauer is chugging when I stop also it is giving me a P1000 code??? Idling weird too when I start it drops to under 1000rpm and stalls then have to restart it and after the 3rd time it will stay started anyone have an answer to these questions please help.

P1000 is basically a drive cycle code or it can be alerting you that your check engine light bulb is out. It doesn't point to any engine operating errors.
