Engine Oil, Synthetic?

Time for an oil change and I want to start using synthetic. What is the best synthetic oil to use in my engine?

Many debates on which the best Synthetic oil, some say Amsoil, some say Royal Purple and some say others, my personnel preference since its never done harm to my motors is Valvoline High Mileage.

Is there a chance that synthetic can damage a motor?

There's been alot of discussion over that too, I personally don't worry about it, especially if you get the oil that says its for Highmileage engines, I started putting synthetic oil in a motor at around 130k. Many on here will tell ya that its not a worry, your motor doesn't have too high of mileage.
