Engine original to body?

Can anyone tell me where to find the engine codes on my 2008 Explorer 4.0 liter v-6 motor? I assume that. The engine has a vin or similar number that will tell me if it was the original engine for my Explorer. I bought it from an estate, so have no history.

Mine has a sticker 2/3 the way up on the driver side. I know it has a manfufacture date for the motor. Not sure what else,

My engine has a sticker on the driver’s side valve cover, but I suspect that the motor should have a stamped code on it to allow the dealer to tell if it was oem to the frame of the truck build?

That seems possible. I believe there is a barcode there as well. Just going from memory. I’m sure a ford dealer could tell you everything.
