Engine problem on a 2010 Eddie Bauer Explorer.

Hello all, I'm new to posting so I hope I get this right.
Our new E.B. developed a squealing noise in the engine. We took it in under warranty and they still have it two weeks later. We are told the problem involves a part that isn't manufactured. Anyone ever hear of this?

Probably a part they didn't have in stock or on backorder. It has to be manufactured, it's on the truck...

Ask them what it is, sounds like a tensioner or pulley. If it were me, I'd tell them to pull one off the in-stock area AKA new car, and install it so you can have your rig back, and replace the one on the unsold unit when the part shows up.

Thanks Joe! It is in fact part of the pulley suytem the one on the Crankshaft I believe. Hadn't thought about pulling one off the in stock units I will give that a try.

If it squeals under normal or hard acceleration. Change the belt, it's pretty common with the ford junk belts.
