hey peeps how u doin

i have a 2001 ranger 3.0 with major engine problems. i started to trouble shout and found pretty quick that the engine was hydrolocked pretty bad. driver side cylinders were filled to the plugs with coolant. passenger side rear cylinder was too. i took off the throttle body and saw pooled coolant in the air runner of the upper intake. so i took off the upper manifold to hopfully find that maybe there was a obvious crack in the manifold but there wasnt. i know there is 2 coolant tubes that run in then right back out on the top by the trottle body. other than tht there is no other coolant running to the manifold.
does anybody have anyideas of wut can b wrong? or any ideas to trouble shoot? or is this a common problem with these years? any ideas will b helpfull im stumped!:rangertan::rangertan:

Head gaskets or crcked heads is all i have seen.

Welcome to this forum! One time I had a coolant leak on my 88 that started for no reason (not overheated). It turned out that the head of one bolt cracked off. I used a Vice Grip on the stud to remove it, and install a new bolt. That did the trick since the gasket was still good.

welcome

ok heres the problem with the cracked heads or cracked head gasket theory. it never overheated. and there is no water in my oil either. only coolant in the manifold and cylinders
