I replaced the cylinder head on my 02 x with a 4.o SOHC. It runs but not well at all, it seems like it is trying to die on me and when I rev it the motor comes to life but once the gas is let off it sounds like it tries to die on me. I purchased all the parts to time the motor and did it how the chilton book said, however, the compression wouldnt register when I had the valve cover off because there was no fuel injectors in and I didnt have any of the exhaust and intake components on. I now have them all on and I need to know how I can properly time the motor. Any help is appreciated. Also do I need to do both sides or just the passenger side which I replaced. Thanks
