Engine shuts off with AC on in park

2002 Explorer Sport with 91,000 miles. Cranks and runs fine but now that we have had a few warm days I have had to run the AC. When I get to where I am going I put it in park with the AC still on then the engine idle becomes erratic and then shuts off, sometimes it will just shut off with out much jump up or down in the RPMs.

Sounds to me like your compressor is going bad, it may be sucking all the voltage from the battery
