Engine swap start up

Swapped 4.0l for a 4.0l 99 to 02 truck is a 02 do I have to set new motor to tdc to get truck to start ?

I'd just unplug the crank sensor and crank the engine over with the starter to prime the timing tensioners. Then plug the crank sensor in and fire her up

Sounds like I was right in thinking that it should find no 1 all buy its self lol thanks brother it's funny how one suggestion from a person that should know can make you doubt your own knowledge of how it should work going with it thanks again
