Engine turns over nicely... acts like its out of fuel

My ride occasionally, when started would diesel and run rough. I'd turn it off, start it again, and it would run fine. It happened a few times a year. Recently it started, ran rough, I turned it off, tried to restart, and it would only run rough, for about 10 starts in a row. Now it turns over and never ignites at all.

I changed the fuel pump relay and RAP module which was relay number 9 in the power distribution box.

Anyone have a similar problem? Any suggestions?

hey i had kinda the same problem. my ex would try and turn over but would not run, turns out it was the fuel pump. have you tried hitting the gas tank with a hammer?? i know sounds crazy but untill the new pump gets here thats how i gotta get her started. i really dont know all that much about cars so i could be totally wrong but it might be something you wanna check
