engines for an X ?

how ya goin im considering buying a second X
and i want to do some mods. up until 2002 in Australia the X only came in v6 no v8 and only 4 door 4x4 no 4x2. im contemplating getting a 2000 X 5 speed manual and wacking in either a 5.0 , 4.6 , 5.4
ford motor . im just not sure which way to go so anyone with one of these motors give me your opinion

I would go with the 5.0. Since the X's did come with the motor it may be easier to get parts.

Do all of these motors fit in a 2000 x is the 5.4 too big?
what other mods would i have to do other than motor?

im petty sure a 5.4 wont fit... without heavy fabbing at least. Have you search the board b4? Cause i know this has been asked and there was a list of things that needs to be converted including the tranny.
