I was wondering if anyone knows what it is? I went to autozone and that is what it came up. The guy told me it could either be the catalytic converter or the oxygen sensor, probally the oxygen sensor. He also mentions bank 1. Can I do this myself? Where is the sensor?

My book shows PO430 as:
"Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)"
Sorry, I don't have further info, just wanted to mention the bank 1/2 thing being different...

thanks, that is what he said but he mentioned bank 1, is it a different code for bank 1?

Yes, the bank 1 codes are PO420 and PO421.

It's either the catalytic converter going bad or the post-cat O2 sensor giving a false reading.

I would replace the O2 sensor and clear the code. Hopefully that will correct the problem, if not then save your $$$$ because cat's are expensive. :(
