Well the last time I posted, I was having some serious problems with my transmission. The dealer I bought my 99 Explorer High Class (European Spec) from covered it and put a brand new transmission in for me. It is now running great with no problems, knock on wood. Now the next issue. Ford in the states told me this vehicle according to the vin number is built in the U.S. and is listed as a U.S. model. I am moving back to the states around November this year and plan on converting everything european back to U.S. It has the following that does not look american. I have the blinkers in the fenders, this is not a problem bringing it back to the U.S. However, I need the complete U.S. gauge cluster, cruise control buttons, right side mirror with objects in mirror are closer than they appear, front marker lights in amber. I am not sure if the headlights are the same or not. One other thing I am not sure of is the fan switch. Mine has a smaller dot that goes to bigger dots as the fan goes higher in speed. Can anyone help me out with these parts. My odometer is in KM and has 80,000 KMs on it. I need one with around 55,000 to 57,000 miles on it. My e-mail is CharlesBettis357@aol.com

I also understand that if Ford can write me a letter saying that this vehicle is built to U.S. safety standards it wont cost me alot to get it back in the U.S. It seems to be an oddball model because even the German Ford dealer says its U.S., although it has all the German lights etc. It does not have a DOT sticker in the door either.
