I like the way they look and I'm waiting to get clear tails due to many law problems.

well, I've been there before and to be honest I never got a clear answer on this subject. See, I was suppose to move to Europe and take my rig with so I was shopping for some things that might have to be replaced due to the move. First off, they require different headlights, asymetric, these were like $100.00 a piece and then second thing is rear turn signals can't be red, they have to be amber (orange) so you what they do to save on parts?????? they just simply put an amber light bulb into the reverse light socket and use that as turn signal installing reverse and fog (required on the back) under the bumper. License plates in Europe are larger then ours so they wouldn't fit on the bumper so they install this thingy on the rear tailgate. I've got some pictures of a modified Explorer so I'll post them as soon as I can scan those.

Stay tuned!! I'm gona send e-mail to that company and ask them about the tail lights.

Later,

no im not moving to europe i live in ny and the european lights are clear with red dots that take a rec bulb . everwhere i go no one carries claer lights for trucks especailyy exploders(that what they call it). everyone here tells me that no one even manufactures clear lights for my truck yet i see some people with them one where can i find at least clear lenses fo front and rear

I have been trying to get the European lights or Altezzas lights, especially the carbon fiber altezzas, made for the early model explorers for a few months now and I have contacted many companies like APC and someone that, the guy from hotpartz.com referred me to. All of them said that the only way they would be made would be if they could get an order for 500 of them. So far from this board I have gotten about 30 names so I doubt they are going to be made.

See, I don't even know why they call these European lights??? lights in Europe are not clear.......... (mind you they're even strictier in regards to mods and what's not).

I haven't seen any clear rears anywhere around, did you try Explorer Express??? Performance Produts?

just an idea

Explorer Express does not have the clear tails for the early model explorers so, If you want a set of clears try (dead link) they might have gotten some more in but when I called for mine (last week) they were all out. I then checked eBay and found a set there for $73 + $8.50 shipping. The company selling them was (dead link) they have a bunch left in stock.
