I recently purchased a 94 4d xlt for a steal of a price, but it has/had some issues.
1. AC doesn't work... lost cooling over years, suspect needs recharge, when he went to get it done, they said they might need a new condenser so the previous owner didn't bother with it
2. evap cannister cel code, when it went to inspection, they cleaned the MAF but the code still kept comming up
3. minor rust in spots - I'm slowly patching them up 1 by 1
when I picked up the truck they said they couldn't get the check engine light to come on... I brought it down and asked them to change all the fluids and filters... appearantly it's been quite some time since the airfilter had been changed. no problem now, and man does that v6 ever sound mean now.
anyway, moral of the story, always get all your fluids and filters changed immediatly after buying a used vehicle
