Recently in the past few months i have had the 0171 & 0174 codes pop up. At first the code would come up when it was a cold morning. After startup the x would hesitate a little. I decided to start small and check and change the pcv valve, and fuel filter. Cleared the codes and they didn't come back until this week. I bought a code reader and read the code 0171 & 0174 again. The code reader also checks the various sensors for proper operation. This morning the code reader showed that the evaporative system monitor had not completed the test which means something was not working. Now my question is what components are part of the evaoprative system monitor?
