Does anyone know where the drain for the evaporator comes out? I found my passenger floor board soaked today and my door seals seem fine. I looked on google and no consensus on location. This is for a 2004 explorer xlt

Do you have a sunroof?

Yes i do i hadn't thought of that. Wonder where that drain goes
There are four - on on each corner of the sunroof. They are basically just holes in the sunroof framework, which is designed to capture leaking water and let it drain through hoses that go down through the closest pillars. If the hoses become detached at the top you will get water under the headliner. If the hose somehow gets pulled out of the spot where it's supposed to drain out, you will get water collecting there.

You might want to try pouring water through each drain hole and see what happens. It should drain out the bottom without drama. If not, you have a problem. Mind you it still might not be the cause of your current issue but it's something worth checking in any case. A 20 year old vehicle can have all sorts of weird problems you wouldn't normally expect.
