More than likely there is a short in the wire somewhere, and when you are flexing on the trail, the 12v (+) wire is shorting against the body (ground).

Check your wires...

could it be possible when im going up a steep hill and I hit my trailer plug that it shorts out? My gramps thinks it could be that. If thats the case I could probably relocate. As soon as it isnt cold and wet in the crappy state of washington I will chase down the wires

if it was the trailer wiring it would have to be a bare wire which theyre shouldnt be bare wire anywhere

I was hit by a semi. fixed all the damage but the plug. I dont see any bare wires but The plug itself is broke. I also noticed when I had backup lights on connected directly to the backup lights the one on the drivers side was dull but not the one on the passenger side. Would that be a possible indication there?

Use a multimeter and properly troubleshoot your wiring. This is not something that can be done through the internet or even a phone. You need a multimeter, and hour or so, and an assistant.
Have your Gramps help you. Old guys usually have the patients to find the problem.

ill do that. thanks for your help.
