exaust question..

hey guys
On my 92 xlt I have a flowmaster non delta 40 series...and i love the sound..i had the new pipe routed out the side just like the stock ones are on 91-94 at 2 1/4 diameter.....however i want it louder..

my question is if i go to 3inch pipe from the muffler back, and have it exit stright back under the bumper will it be alot louder or about the same?

You will lose power and efficency if you go to 3" pipe; stick with 2 1/2".

With goin to 3in pipe, you'll lose too much backpressure, and that means a loss of performance. You may be able to slide by with removing the cats.... Pretty sure it'll be illegal where ya live, but it may get it louder. Also, if ya drop the cats, you once again may lose power. I'm told if you exit pipes down to the ground, you can get a louder, and lower exhaust tone.
