I just changed the pads on my rear drums. I have them cut also. There is and excessive grinding coming from the passanger side though. when I got out of the truck to check it, it was been the normal hot that brake get. What could becausing this? obivously the pads are riding but why?

Incorrect adjustment?

What needs to be done is take both rear tires off and remove the drums. Then loosen the tension brake cable to where it does not drag the drums as you install them back on the axle. Then after they have been loosened then reinstall the drums and put the tires back on. When you go down the road and apply the brakes the rear brakes will adjust themselves to the right tightness on their own. If you fail to do this they will not adjust themselves to loosen. They only tightened. So if they are to tight when installed. They will remain too tight.
