Hey guys,

I am still fairly new to this forum since i just bought my 2002 X. Basically I am looking at some upgrades to make it a bit quicker and i am guessing headers and exhaust is a good place to start.

I saw a site that you guys use a while ago but i cant seem to find it right now. Where do you all suggest i purchase the headers and exhaust? also, is there a certain brand that anyone perfers?

Any other suggestions for a few random parts to make the truck a bit quicker?

It is a 4x4 ATX.

Thanks guys!

Headers are very $$$ for the small gains in HP. They are not needed unless you are planning on turbo/supercharging. As far as the rest of the exhaust system there are tons of threads on exhuast. A couple of guys here have done complete exhaust systems(headers, cats/y-pipe, mufflers and pipes). If I remember right Zerocool has done it.

Magnaflow makes a great bolt-on exhaust kit for a good price. Headers would depend on whether you have the V6 or the V8, but as Matt mentioned they are quite expensive for the return you get.

i believe zercool said that he noticed the biggest increase in power from the jba headers on the v8.

Sorry guys i guess i forgot to mention that i have the 4.0L. I did the headers, y-pipe, and cat-back on my last car which was a 2.5l V6 and I guess i did not notice much of a difference besides the sound, as well as a little bit of throttle response.

I did just order the Volant Intake, which i do not expect to make much of a HP gain if any.
