Exhaust fitment '99 to '96 V8

Does anyone know if a Gibson exhaust system for a '99 V8 will work on a '96 V8? I would assume that it would but they list different part #'s.

It would not be a bolt on. These systems are different. The main difference is how the muffler connects at the front. The 96-98 has a flange and the 99 has two seperate pipes. It could be done, but it would require cutting and welding. If you give me a little time, I will get you a picture.

We once carried the X-Spec exhaust with a 3" pipe and a Magnaflow Muffler. This was a sweet system and had part numbers for all years. But Magnaflow discontinued the program!
I have one of the above kits for 99-01. We now only have the Dynomax System with the Superturbo Muffer. It has a 2.25" pipe. It does offer good performance with a tone you can live with. Not the same performance as the X-Spec system, but is still available.

That one X-Spec system John spoke of is now gone. I ordered it yesterday. Thanks John. First time dealing with you folks and was very impressed. I'll let everyone know how it works.
