im new here first post LoL well i'v had my x for a while now its a 96 xlt V8 its pretty damn sweet faster than most cars but i would really like to get some more out of it its got 127k milles on it, i wanna put a new exhaus system on it not too loud but something u can notice and that adds a lil bit of power 2 it, i dont got a lot of money 2 spend about 300 bucks any suggestions would be great!! thanks!

you could get a gibson, quality exhaust system but somewhat quiet or youi could get one custom bent with the muffler of your choice for around the same price

well

i dont know much about mufflers, i'v read many threads and they talk about a single 3" pipe all the way to the back or putting two 2.5" pipes having to move the spare, i think i want to go with a single 3", i looked under my car and it has 4 cats and a muffler with two pipes going in it, i want my truck to sound like the 5.0 mustang it would be great if anyone can post some links so i can have an idea of what i would need :exp:

How much money are you willing to spend? If you want it to ssound like a 5.9 stang i would recommend a true dual Flowmaster 40 exhaust with an x-pipe. That would truely sound badass. If thats a little too pricey for you, go with a dual in dual-out Flowmaster 40 with a 2.5" pipe from the muffler back. It won't give you the same sound as a true dual, but will still sound incredible.
