I read other threads where members looked into dual exhaust for the ST and said room is an issue. My sons exhaust is completely shot and I need to install from manifolds back. I found that previous owner was welding and patching as it rusted out and welded the Cats as well. Just cr4p under there.

I'll go single pipe but looking for dual tips and some rumble that we can must up so thinking of MagnaFlow, no resonator. If that sounds correct, does anyone have a kit (s) along those lines that they can point me to?

Thanks in advance....r

I'm Looking for the same ... Best option may be to have an Exhaust Muffler Shop do it Custom from what Ive heard... but get the Magnflow muffler

Below is Exhaust System Diagram with Walker part numbers for the 2001~2005 Ford ExST.
Sounds like you're wanting the Walker 50202 & 53500 pieces, then customize your own muffler~resonator~tail sections.
RockAuto has these with other 47State\EPA or 50State\CARB options.
You've got 3 OxygenSensors as shown below; best keep that arrangement unless you do PCM reprogramming; more info at

@DILLARD000

Should the Intermediate Pipe be of Concern (53460) ? Seems its just an "Extension" pipe

Man You are so helpful.
Thanks Again...

Depends on the muffler, tail pipe chosen
Ok Thoughts ?
In regards to Down Pipes "Y" Pipe having Catalytic Converters and the RearCatConvertors: for a total of 4

I was thinking Catless Down Pipes "Y" Pipe and then New RearCatCovertors (53500) in your pic earleir: for a total of 2
or
Vice Versa of the above

Magnaflow Muffler and Unsure of Tail Pipe Options

I bought what was supposed to be that intermediate pipe when I replaced the muffler on my '01 Sport Trac about 3 years ago. The pipe I bought, or at least got, from Advance Auto was bent differently than the original. I don't know if the pipe wasn't actually the correct one, or Advance Auto's listing is wrong, or what, but the pipe was bent for a center inlet muffler. Refusing to spend $80+ on a muffler, I spent a lot of time researching and measuring mufflers to match the original layout. When I had made my choice - the longest Cherry Bomb turbo muffler I could find - and went to install it, I was frustrated to find this intermediate pipe didn't match the original. I eventually made it work, but it took some doing. It would have worked fine if I could have reversed the muffler like you can a lot of aftermarket mufflers, but this one isn't one you can reverse.
