I know people like to put headers on the sohc but I'm wondering has anyone tried porting and flowing their oe cast ex manifolds? I believe the right hand side one certainly lends itself to that but I also reckon that the left hand side would benefit from flowing and porting at least out to the size of the gaskets. The cost of headers for the sohc I wonder just how much real benefit they really are for HP as against porting and flowing the oe manfolds?Has anyone tried it ? Iv'e had my spare set flowed and ported and I'm about to put them on but unfortunately I can't get a dyno test for before and after. Cheers Foxy

how much did it run you to have the manifolds ported and flowed? i honestly doubt that p/f the manifolds are gonna cause any increase in hp, if it does i would suspect very minimal. course you arent gonna really know unless you can hold off and dyno run stock manif then do a few more pulls with the p/f manifolds... GL let us know what you decide to do.... if you happen to make it to the dyno twice let us know the results...
