My exhaust broke right behind what appears to be cat or pre heater. On the right side where the manifold pipe comes down (about as far back as where the passenger door is). There is a connection which is bolted. The end of the chamber has come apart from the connection. It appears oval and has come apart from the flange.
I have not crawled underneath yet. Does anyone have a diagram or detailed photo so I can be sure of the part I am talking about?
If it is stainless, I might either find someone that welds stainless, or bypass with a pipe to the cat.
It is sort of where this person replaced on this 4.0 Ranger photo. http://ford40.com/graphics/collectortocat2.jpg
Link to entire project he did. http://ford40.com/exhaust.shtml
I am just wondering what this chamber is and if it can be removed or welded.
thanks
