Exhaust Question

Hey guys, Next week sometime I am hoping to get a new muffler/tip installed on my X and right now I am leaning towards the Flowmaster Super 44. I have been driving a straight piped truck for the past 3 years of so, So I really know what interior drone sounds like, and I'm about sick of it. I would like a loud exhaust, but I also want to be able to take my mom out to lunch and not have to scream over my exhaust. If I decide the muffler is too loud, can I add a resonator to quite it down a little bit? Or Should I just forget about this muffler and go with a Maggie or something similar?

2003 Xploder with a 4.0L V6. I have a Flowmaster 70 2.5" with a custom tip. I find the 70 series purrfect....
