Exhaust Questions

I have been searching all over the site and I have came up with an IAC needs cleaning and my cat being clogged. So guys tell me what you all think. When my truck is running and standing by the tailpipe it kinda puffs every now and then and the exhaust is really warm almost hot. But other than that I think it runs fairly good

Guy at the shop my dad works for said its a power balance issue. He said that it could be either spark, gas, or compression related. What do you all think

And I guess you didn't get any responses because your question was a little vague, I didn't really get what the problem you were trying to solve was...

No when the truck is running and you stand by the tailpipe or the passenger side you will hear it stumble a little then regain idle. it's kinda like the idle drops off then comes back. But as soon as I get paid I'm going to change the fuel filter and wires. I have new plugs in it. Theay are Motorcraft double platium. The reason I say the filter is cause it jerks a little when you go to take off from a standstill. That is the feeling I get
