In time for the next MOT in October I'm going to have to replace the exhaust system end to end.
There are a few posts on the costs and sourcing this which looks like about £450 for the complete system in cats + 2 new O2 Sensors. So I'm looking at a few options.
1. Replace with a system that has no Cats - as I understand it a 1997 reg car does not need them, but what will it do to the MOT gas tests?
2. replace the Cats with new and build a custom back end (i'm thinking a pair of cherry bombs (only save £60 but sound would be great)
Has anybody in the midlands found a good company to build custom systems, I'm not looking at a stainless system.
cheers
Jim
