exhaust set ups

So who would bust you for that? We don't have inspections in Michigan. I would like to get mine done that way, but I don't want to get a hefty fine or get in trouble for it and have to get it replaced.

Sorry about the late information on the last post.

if a cop wants to he can pull you over and issue a citation for illegal equipment on the road. same thing if you have an O/R exhaust pipe on the car. many cops dont waste their time but you may have one that will. i think if it not abnoxuiously loud you be ok. i was gonna run a roush magnaflow exhaust on the mustang, but i sold the exhuast and went with a dif. setup, now im selling it with the stang. LOL

In East Grand Rapids, you can get pulled over for anything and most times do. I think that if I can get an exhaust shop to do it for me, I shouldn't have a problem since it doesn't stand out too much...I'm thinking of getting a 50 Series Flowmaster and have the 2 pipes make 90 degree turns and just come right out the side. Maybe on a little bit of an angle down with some slash tips or something so it's just exposed a little bit. I think it would be a lot less labor extensive too, so I figure that it would be quite a bit cheaper too

Aside from legal and safety reasons, I have also heard that the exhaust gases will turn your wheel green overtime.
