Now that my factory 36k warranty is up, and I've put my bigger tires back on, I'm now going to get a new Flowmaster and K&N. My biggest concern right now is what to do with the exhaust tip. I'm planning on keeping all the original piping excluding the muffler swap but I want to do something different with the tailpipe. From my measurements, I've found that I have roughly 7" if I want to keep the existing location of the pipe and put a new slash tip on without it extending beyond the current location. If anything I would want to bring it in a hair or two. The other thing I was considering is cutting the pipe right beyond the last pipe hanger and running a tip from that point. In that case I would need approximately a 15" tip to reach the outside of the bed. Does anyone have any pictures or has anyone ran the pipe out on an angle from that point? I'm not a fan of running the pipe straight back like the STA's because it sits too low IMO because I don't have the skirts. I've been looking around for pictures but I can't find anyone who has done it.

I installed a 3" round, 16" long stainless tip at a 45 degree angle. cut the pipe couple of inches after the hanger, give or take on your preference and install. Got a few compliments on mine.
