im running single 2.5 in and dual 2.5 out on my explorer

i got hooker 2.5 offset, and i cut off one of the cat jiggys just tack weld and then make sure it fits

i'm running single cat 2.25 w/ flowmaster. Most people run 2.5, but 2.25 works fine.

i was just told by a few people that the 2.5 is too big and i might burn my valves....is this true.....thanks

i have no idea...i wouldn't think so tho..a lot of people run 2.5

Not true about burning the valves unless you cut off the cats and ran straight SHORT pipes. Maybe then. But 2.5" is what I had on my explorer. Stock is 2.25 but they shops will just weld on adapters for a small fee..

yes im going ot cut the cats out too....will that be a problem....i am going to do a full lenght system....

cutting the cats out isnt a great plan. It wont help with HP nearly as much as you think. Its definately a waste. Not to mention illegal

im not too worries about the cats....i dont have to have them....i have had lots of vechials without just harder to get through aircare......i was going to keep the old pipe and make a flange so i can put the cats back in when its time for aircare.....i think they are pluged a bit......but will it burn my vavles out??? ive never had a problem on my v8s before..thanks

Perhaps someone else will help you here. I will not help when it comes to removing cats.
