I was wondering if 16 inch wheels from an Expedition would fit on a 1995+ Explorer. Thanks for the help!

Here are the specs of a 16 inch Expedition wheel:

WHEEL SIZE - 16" X 7"
OFFSET - 14mm
BOLT PATTERN - 5 lug, 135 mm

I know Explorer Sports, EB's, and Limited's run 16's, but do they have the same offset and bolt pattern (135mm)? If they do I would be very happy! Thanks for any help! Dead Link Removed

Hi Tim
Looking at aftermarket wheels, about half of the rim models for the Explorer exist also in the same size for the Expedition. This could be an indication for the wheels being interchangable, but it's no guarantee.
The easiest and safest would be to try. Don't you have a friend, who could borrow you the spare wheel of an Expedition or F 150 for some hours? Maybe your dealer could help. Like this, you could put it on your car and have a look. Well, if you find out, let me know! I will also be looking for a 16" steel wheel, but I have neither Explorer nor wheel yet, so it's a kind of hard for me to help you Dead Link Removed

Does anyone know the bolt pattern, as far as millimeters go, for stock Explorer wheels?

The only thing I can try is using the wheels off my mom's 1994 E150 van on my explorer. are the lug patterns on a E150 van the same as the F150 truck? if so then my exparament will help...if not i am wasting my time because the E150 vans don't have cool looking wheels....
