Fightinirish, the intake is the same on the Explorer 5.0 as the 86-93 Mustang 5.0. I recomend Summit Racing. They have the best prices and are great to work with.

Are you looking for more power? If so try porting and polishing the one you have:D

the intake on the 5.0 isn't EXACTLY the same as a mustang's 5.0 If yer looking for what I think you're looking for, a mustang setup would not fit. the TB on a mustang comes out of the side of the intake, facing the passenger side fender, the exploer 5.0 has a 90% converter and the TB faces forward. This probablly inhibits air a good bit.. why would ford do this? oh well.

MAC supposedly makes a setup with a bent pipe and cone filter replacement.

I have a KKM, its just a cone filter "upgrade" I saw no positive results from this except the fact that I no longer need to replace filters every 2 months or whatever

Personally, an intake isn't worth it unless you plan to do other mods, and even with that, it would be pointless w/o a MAF upgrade and several others. like heads headers chips MAF exhaust etc. if you plan on getting a supercharger, you dont need a filter upgrade ever.. or I dont think you do.. dont' they come with it?

You could always port and polish the one you have the stock explorer intakes flow very similar to the GT -40 intakes.:D

please clarify...
are you talking about a intake manifold or the intake tubing with high flow filter?
